This year, the well-known design studio Carenado is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The developers have saved a very special surprise for this occasion. In a few days an ATR 42 for the FSX, the FSX:SE and Prepar3D v4 will be released. That’s what they announced in a Facebook post from late Thursday evening. As a result, the development team spent two years working on the turboprop airliner. Even the price is already fixed, the Carenado ATR 42 will be available for about 45 US dollars. The official preview video can be found in the full article.

The model variant implemented by Carenado is the ATR 42-500. Although this model has digital displays for the avionics, the engine displays are still analog. If you like it completely digital, you have to wait for the ATR 72-600 by Milviz. This is a stretched version of the turboprop aircraft. In addition, the ATR 72-600 comes with new engines and new avionics from Thales.
