New week, new announcement: Today, Monday, a new group of developers called Wide Body Sim Development (WBSD) informed us about their first add-on for Prepar3D v4, which is currently under development. With the A350 XWB Advanced Series, an aircraft is finally coming into the simulator that many people have been waiting for for a long time. According to their press release, the designers previously worked for a French company that offers professional system trainers for airlines worldwide. Now that the team has signed a contract with their employer, they are able to bring the system trainer’s code into the Flight Simulator.

More Details about the A350 XWB Advanced Series

For the A350 XWB Advanced Series, WBSD announces systems at study level, “close to the real-world counterpart”. This will also include a functional Brake-to-Vacate (BTV) system, as their website says. In addition, there will also be 4K textures and physically-based rendering includet on the exterior model and in the cockpit. Due to the long-standing cooperation with Airbus, the development team also wants to obtain an official license for the A350 XWB Advanced Series. The release is expected for Mid of 2020, we will stay tuned for you on this promising project.
